How to Increase Breast milk

You made a right choice by choosing to breast feed instead of bottle feeding, well done.

Breastfeeding is another great way to bond with your new born baby it also good for your baby since it provides nutrition and also provide your baby with energy to fight viruses and bacteria’s.

1. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is one of the most important breakfast around the world because of it pertains or vitamins and most loved because it not being expensive.

What I love about oatmeal is that it stays longer in your stomach since new mothers who are breastfeeding get hungry in every 3 hours.

If you are always craving for sweet and things with too much sugar, you need to eat oatmeal, this will help you to have less hunger and less cravings.

The most important part is, it provide high levels of fiber with low calories and low levels of fat.

2. Almonds

Almonds will provide your breast milk with phosphorus which will make your baby bones stronger.

Almonds are most famous for reducing the risk of heart attacks in old people.

If you are on diet to lose that postpartum belly of yours or just want to lose the after delivery baby weight, then eat almonds.

3. Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is not famous yet, a lot of people don’t know about this oil, but if you are a mother and breastfeeding I would advise you to use this oil when cooking.

This oil will reduce most of the brain disorders, since many mothers are struggling with postpartum depression which affect the brain since it is a mental illness.

You gained a lot of weight when you were pregnant and this oil will help you by burning most of your pregnancy fat and provide your breast milk with vitamin A.

4. Oranges

When breastfeeding you need to eat at least one orange a day, oranges are the most popular fruit in the world simple because of it juicy taste and it health benefit.

There are thousands of reasons to eat oranges, oranges are most famous for its fiber which will keep your blood sugar levels under control.

Another thing about oranges is that they are high in vitamin c and will boost your immune system and increase your breast milk.

5. Fenugreek

These will incredible increase your breast milk production, it one of the most famous thing to include in a new mommy must haves on nursing basket.

6. Eggs

First of all we know that eggs have too many benefit, but if you are pregnant or a mom who is breastfeeding you need to make sure to cook the egg until the white and yolks are solid.

If you believe that eggs are bad for your health then you are wrong, if you are breastfeeding you need to eat at least 3 eggs a single day.

After delivery during your postpartum period you may lose concentration and sometimes be stressed or depressed, eggs may help you since they boost your intake of choline which is important for your brain to think properly.

Mothers who eat eggs for breakfast every day after delivery are more likely to lose postpartum weight.

Eggs will make your baby stronger….. When breastfeeding, make sure to at least eat 3 eggs a day.

Caution: eggs may make you fart a lot….. So be careful.

7. Salmon

If you care about your health than you better eat salmon fish, it is lower in fat than beef that you eat every day.

Salmon fish is very rich in minerals, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin B6, vitamin D, vitamin E and B2.

Still think fish is bad for your health? You are wrong because salmon fish also can provide calcium, iron, zinc and phosphorus.

Salmon will make your breast milk high in vitamin B since it have Vitamin B, B2 and Vitamin B6.

8. Carrots

When I was young my mom used to force me to eat vegies every day, and the reason for that was trying to make me stronger and healthier.

Carrots have vitamin A, Vitamin C, vitamin K, Vitamin B8 and also will boost your Iron levels, this is one of the vegetables that has too many benefit such as potassium, folate and also pantothenic with manganese.

As you can see above carrots provide a lot of benefit, all those vitamins will go to your breast milk and help you’re new born to be stronger and much healthier.

9. Spinach

If you don’t like spinach than you have to give it a chance, by not eating spinach you may lose a chance of boosting your body’s zinc and phosphorus.

Do you remember the cartoon which was called Popeye? , I used to like that cartoon, it was one of the most popular and most liked cartoon in my younger days.

It was about a skinny old man, who couldn’t fight, but as soon as his wife gave him some spinach, he was unbeatable and could fight almost 100 big strong guys and beat them.

The reason behind this cartoon was, the government knew the benefit of eating spinach in young children and tried to make a cartoon that can influence the kids by eating spinach.

Spinach have Vitamin A, Vitamin B8 , Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin E, Vitamin B1, Vitamin AND Vitamin B6, your baby will really benefit by getting this from your breast milk. That why you need to eat Spinach at least twice a week.

10. Brown Rice

Brown Rice

Lot of household don’t buy brown rice, I guess the traditional white rice is too famous to be beaten by the new brown rice. But pleas buy it and give it a try.

Brown rice is better, healthier and has more benefit more than white rice that

you are cooking every day.

You are buying white rice simple because it looks much more delicious than brown rice, but the truth behind those two is that brown rice is rich in selenium, high in manganese and very rich in anti-oxidants.

Brown rice won’t increase your breast milk but it will provide it with a lot of vitamins.
